世界観・設定
The story takes place on a vertically long continent with several islands scattered around it. Until about 1,000 years ago, a Unified Empire ruled most of the continent. Currently, from north to south, there are groups of nations called the 'Northern Countries,' 'Central Countries,' and 'Southern Countries.' Since Frieren's party started their journey toward Ende at the continent's northernmost point, the Northern Countries appear most frequently in the story, with only brief depictions of the Central Countries and the Southern Countries mentioned only in characters' words or backgrounds.
